More to blame on Soviets pulling out of Afghanistan, Soviets who left because the US was supporting a Afghan rebel named Osama bin Laden through Pakistan to wreak havoc on the Soviets who were recruiting Marxist Arabs. The country was divided between Soviet backed and US backed. The US leaves one end high and dry and then Soviets leave causing disarray leading to the Taliban to form an take control trusting in radical Islam.
